Meetings are non-denominational, non-political, non-controversial and non-professional.

There is no fee. Meetings are run by the group, rather than any one person. A facilitator is chosen to lead the discussions by the people in the room. There are no promises of fortune or fame, but the encouragement of how thinking of each other can result in a happiness beyond one's personal desires.

Meetings are informal, and can contain as few as two people. Interestingly, a “meeting” can be just a couple of friends getting together at a diner. Location or ceremony are unimportant. More important is the desire of those people to be there for each other.

The only “requirement” at a Spiritual Support Group meeting is a desire to go forward in a respectful, understanding and non-judgmental manner. Any kind of conversation can take place. The idea is to remember the reason for getting in the room--not to change anyone in the room, but to better manage our own lives outside the room.

Past meetings have been called a “coffee clutch”, “friendship club”, “spiritual-aholics meeting”--as many different things to as many different people. Of all the names, however, each makes the same promise: to inspire the individual in the room to reach out, and to grow and learn more about themselves than they ever thought possible.
